Dynamic Resource: The VT Trauma Lens Facebook Group

If you are caring for a child with a complex trauma history, you know that awareness about the impact of trauma and healing is always evolving. On The Vermont Trauma Lens Facebook group, you can access cutting-edge ideas and strategies for helping survivors of trauma to heal.

Recent posts have included information on:

  • “The Five Gestures That Can Heal,”
  • “Every Moment Counts” strategies for incorporating mindfulness and social-emotional learning in schools, at home, and in the community,
  • “How Trauma Impacts Four Types of Memory,”
  • “The Impact of Trauma on Future Generations,”
  • and much, much more.

To join, access Facebook and type the words “The Vermont Trauma Lens” in the search bar. This is a closed group, so you will need to wait for the moderator to give you access. Once you are a member, you’ll be able to scroll through previous posts, receive new posts, and be able to share any useful trauma-related information you learn about with the group. Currently there over 1,000 members who have been generous in sharing information on healing from trauma with one another. This group means that more of us can encourage healing in our homes, schools, and communities.
