This class is designed for Vermont families that are providing, or hope to provide, permanent homes for children through adoption or permanent guardianship. It is a required class for those families adopting a child from foster care. It is our belief that permanence is best achieved with a family relationship that offers safe, stable, and committed parenting, unconditional love, lifelong support, and legal family membership status. Adoption and permanent guardianship are two important ways that we can provide permanence for children.
