Partnering for Child Safety: Recognizing Physical Abuse and Consulting with Child Safe Program
Cohort Enrollment / Multi-Session
We are happy to offer a one-hour virtual training on recognizing signs and symptoms of child abuse and using medical consultation to inform child safety decisions.
The same training will be offered twice, and will be mandatory for front end and ongoing family services workers, including CIES and RLSI. District Directors and Operations are welcome to attend, as are any central office staff with roles for which this content is relevant. As a child protection agency, it is important for staff to have a shared understanding of the basics of child abuse identification. This training may serve as a refresher for some and provide new information for others. It will be an opportunity to meet and interact with the Child Safe Program staff, with an aim to improve collaboration and outcomes for children and families.
A recording will be available for those who are unable to attend either date. We will ensure participants voices are not captured when asking questions. We’ll also reserve a few minutes during each live session for an anonymous survey about your experience working with the Child Safe Program. We look forward to seeing you there!
