Caregiver Coaching

What is coaching and how does it help with transfer of learning? Coaching for kinship, foster and adoptive caregivers is similar to coaching for an athletic team. It is an opportunity to re-look at skills learned, problem solve obstacles to using those skills, and practice using the skills, tools, and resources you’ve learned in trainings. These are some possible topics for coaching calls: + Addressing a child or youth’s behavior + Working well with birth parents and other family members + Respecting diversity + Working with teachers and other school personnel to support a child or youth Register here for the October session: https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZYscuqrpzkjGNGBsntI9PFWWuZZECAPiCwe#/registration

This opportunity is designed for those who are completing, or who have finished, the Foundations Learning Networks course, but anyone caring for youth is welcome.
