Helping the Noncompliant Child (HNC) Coach is a three-level training
designed for therapists, counselors, & professionals
supporting parents of children ages 3 to 8 experiencing significant noncompliance.
What will you learn in these courses? Evidence-based strategies from Behavioral Parent Training (BPT) to assess and treat noncompliance and problem behavior in young children.
- Level 1 focusing on foundational theory and skills.
- Level 2 diving deeper into assessment and in-session skill application.
- Level 3 providing opportunity to practice skills through interactive scenarios. CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION.
How many CEU credits will you receive? You will receive up to 3.5 CEU credits for each course completed!

Meet the Instructors:
Rex Forehand, Ph.D., is a University Distinguished Professor Emeritus at the University of Vermont. He has studied and written extensively about parenting and child behavior, including co-developing and authoring Helping the Noncompliant Child (HNC; McMahon & Forehand, 2003).
Deborah Jones, Ph.D., is a Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She teaches, studies, and writes about parents, other caregivers, and children, including how to increase access to, engagement in, and outcomes of treatments that work like HNC.
